Job Description:
- Receive and inspect steel and engineering materials upon delivery.
- Verify items against purchase orders (POs) and delivery notes (DNs).
- Report any damaged, missing, or incorrect items to Procurement or QA/QC.
- Label and tag materials based on project allocation.
- Record and update project details in the inventory system or logbook for traceability.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in both physically and digitally.
- Monitor stock levels of essential items and consumables.
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Track usage of consumables such as welding rods, gloves, and grinding discs.
- Set reorder levels and notify Procurement when stock level is low.
- Organize and store materials properly according to type and size.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized storage area.
- Ensure all items are clearly labelled and easy to access.
- Follow safety procedures for handling and storing materials.
Job Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least SPM or its equivalent qualification.
- Preferably 1–2 years of working experience in a related field.
- Basic knowledge of steel and fabrication materials.
- Proficient in MS Excel or basic inventory management systems.
- Able to read basic technical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping.
- Knowledge of safety standards in material handling and storage.
