Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support to end-users on security incidents and configurations under the guidance of senior security engineers.
• Assist senior security engineers with tasks like implementing and maintaining security controls.
• Learn to analyze security logs and identify potential threats, with the opportunity to utilize scripting to automate tasks as you develop your skills.
• Observe and participate (where possible) in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities.
• Assist with incident response procedures under the guidance of senior engineers, potentially involving basic scripting for log analysis or remediation tasks.
• Contribute to security documentation by keeping records and updating procedures as instructed.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging security threats and best practices through assigned training and resources.
• Perform basic security research and testing tasks as assigned, which may involve scripting for data analysis or vulnerability exploitation (for testing purposes).

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Less than 2 years of experience in technical support or a similar role.
• A demonstrable interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with basic security concepts (firewalls, intrusion detection, access control).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Basic programming skills in a scripting language like Python, Bash, or PowerShell (willingness to learn is a plus).
