About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven and commercially astute Business Development Manager to identify, evaluate, and pursue strategic business opportunities that support the Group's growth objectives. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business ventures, strategic partnerships, investment opportunities, and revenue-generating initiatives while strengthening relationships with key stakeholders across the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Managing Director on evaluating new business opportunities, investments, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives.
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, and feasibility studies to support business expansion plans.
- Assist on the preparation of business proposals, investment papers, presentations, and commercial agreements.
- Follow up and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulators, investors, strategic partners, consultants, and industry stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal departments to support business initiatives.
- Prepare periodic reports and recommendations for Senior Management and the Board.
Requirements
Academic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Corporate Planning, or related disciplines.
- MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in business development, corporate planning, strategic planning, project development, or commercial management.
- Experience working in a public-listed company, Government-Linked Company (GLC), multinational corporation, or established corporate group is preferred.
- Strong exposure to industries such as construction, water and wastewater services, utilities, environmental services, certification and compliance services, infrastructure, or related sectors.
- Experience engaging with government agencies, regulatory authorities, local councils, statutory bodies, and industry stakeholders.
- Experience in tender management, public-private partnerships (PPP), concession-based projects, or government-related projects will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with business case preparation, feasibility studies, commercial negotiations, and investment evaluation.

- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to develop business cases, financial models, and investment evaluations is an added advantage.
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
