Objectives of this role
- Preparation of cost estimates, bills of quantities formula and tender documents submission.
- Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices and terms.
- Managing project budgets, including forecasting and monitoring costs.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all project-related costs and financial transactions.
- Provide expert advice on procurement, risk management and cost-saving measures.
Your tasks
- Tender Management: Prepare comprehensive tenders, including estimation, quantities take-off, and claim preparation.
- Contract Oversight: Take full charge of Bill of Quantities, materials computation, and contract preparation for various projects.
- Financial Planning: Develop project budgets and conduct detailed cost analyses to ensure project profitability.
- Documentation: Create and manage tender documents, reports, quotation costings, and contract documents with precision.
- Claims Processing: Ensure timely handling and certification of ongoing project claims and payments, including variation orders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain smooth communication and coordination with consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Variation Management: Monitor and record all variation orders, ensuring proper documentation and claims.
- Project Meetings: Attend site meetings as required, representing the quantity surveying department.
Your background:
- Educational Background: Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent field.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is essential.
- QS Expertise: Demonstrated experience in managing overall Quantity Surveying operations, with strong analytical and coordination skills.
- Professional Certification: Not mandatory, professional QS certification (RISM/MRICS) or equivalent qualification would be advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
