Role Description The Project Planner is a full-time, on-site role based in Kelang, responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities to support successful and timely delivery. This role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, tracking progress, and updating timelines in collaboration with project managers and engineering teams. The Project Planner will assist in project controls, including identifying potential delays, analyzing schedule impacts, and recommending mitigation actions. Daily tasks include preparing progress reports and dashboards, coordinating with stakeholders to gather status updates, and supporting claims or delay analyses when required. The role also involves contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools to align with 6Dimensi’s performance and measurement-focused approach.

Qualifications

  • Strong planning capabilities, including Planning & Scheduling and general Planning skills for complex projects.
  • Well-developed Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify trends, and assess schedule impacts and risks.
  • Experience in Project Control, including monitoring progress, managing baselines, and supporting delay or disruption assessments.
  • Effective Communication skills to collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and management, and to prepare clear reports and presentations.
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project) and MS Office tools, especially Excel.
  • Experience in construction, infrastructure, or oil & gas projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to work on-site in Kelang, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
