A typical IT internship breaks down into the following core responsibilities:
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide help-desk assistance to employees, resolving basic hardware, software, and networking issues.
- Configure, deploy, and perform routine maintenance on new computers and peripheral devices.
- Shadow senior IT staff in executing system updates and monitoring servers.
System Maintenance & Administration
- Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets (computers, printers, software licenses).
- Ensure staff data is correctly backed up using cloud platforms like OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Assist with basic networking, such as running cables or installing hardware under guidance.
Software & Project Support
- Write or document software requirements, designs, and IT support tickets.
- Assist with programming, coding, or software maintenance depending on the intern's focus.
- Create presentations, compile IT status reports, and assist with project management
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,000.00 per month
