DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to work station according to schedule (15 minutes early) with a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene with clean and pressed office attires, name tag and clean black shoe. No slippers or jeans/T-shirts to be worn on duty.
- Appropriate greetings to be said when you meet patients, customers and staffs, during your assignments or when you do deliveries.
- To be alert and aware of security procedures of the hospital and report immediately of any suspicious activities by any person(s) found loitering to your superior and Security Manager for further action.
- To be alert in regards to current events in the hospital, special functions, hospital facilities and services as you will be associated with the events for dispatch and delivery services.
- To maintain regular and effective communication with other departments in the hospital so as to ensure the smooth operation of the delivery & dispatch services.
- To participate in the briefing (if applicable), training and meetings as directed by your superior or the manager.
- To log all assignments related to “despatch” with the date/time in the “Delivery Log Book” as to ensure that task is carried out accordingly.
- To carry the “External Dispatch Book” along when you deliver important letters/documents to ensure the recipients acknowledge with their company stamps and sign the date/time of delivery.
- During delivery of company documentation, avoid using quite/routine/dangerous routes because these routes may not have way of escape if any unwanted mishap takes place (ie: flood, riot, bridge damage, vehicle breakdown etc)
- To perform any other duties from time to time that may be assigned or requested by your Head of Department.
- At all times, to maintain strict confidentiality of any information you may become aware of during the course of your duties.
- Enhance professional growth and development through the reading of relevant literature, as well as attendance at relevant training programmes (internal & external).
- To ensure that all mileage and petrol claims/chits and over time are utilize accordingly and ensuring proper care in use of equipment and supplies.
- To ensure cooperation among staff and other departments by responding promptly upon call from laboratory/doctors/staff etc and developing good rapport with other departments while carrying out tasks.
- Requirement:
- Valid motorcycle driving license (Class B2 or equivalent)
- Minimum SPM education
- Able to do OT/shift working hours
- Punctual and reliable
- Maintain confidentiality (patient/sample information)
- Competent and responsible for safe handling of biohazard specimens
