Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive BI Developer to join our team. This role focuses on designing and developing interactive BI dashboards and reports, mainly on Power BI and Databricks AI/BI, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end users. This role also focuses on managing the Power BI Premium and Power BI gateway as a Power BI admin. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of data modeling, and the ability to translate business needs into effective BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Databricks AI/BI reports

• Integrate Databricks with Power BI to enable seamless data visualization and reporting

• Create DAX measures and implement Star Schema data models

• Manage Power BI Premium Capacity and Power BI Gateways (Power BI admin)

• Maintain Power Automate flows

• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements

• Query and manipulate data from databases such as Teradata, Oracle, and Databricks

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and Databricks AI/BI users

• Document Business Intelligence solutions and create user guides or training materials as needed

• Stay current with Business Intelligence trends, tools, and best practices

• Stay current with the Gen AI/AI application to Business Intelligence

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proficient in Power BI, Power Query, and DAX

• Strong SQL skills and experience with enterprise databases (e.g., Teradata, Oracle, Databricks)

• Experience with Databricks for AI/BI report development, as well as integration of Databricks with Power BI

• Experience in creating and maintaining Power Automate flows

• Familiarity with Star Schema and data modeling best practices

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills to support and guide end users

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus

• Demonstrates flexibility to provide support for urgent issues outside of standard business hours.

• Experience in managing Power BI Premium and Power BI gateway is highly preferred.

• Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus.

• Databricks certification is a plus.

• Interest or experience in AI/ML concepts as applied to business intelligence is a plus.

• Familiarity with Power BI’s AI features (such as Q&A, Smart Narrative, Power BI CoPilot) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with Databricks AI/BI Genie is as an advantage.

• Familiarity with Manufacturing Semiconductor processes is as an advantage.
