The Software Engineer (RPG) will contribute to various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including design, development, testing, implementation, and maintaining scalable software solutions.

What you will do

• Assist in analyzing business application needs and requirements.
• Support the design, development, troubleshooting, debugging, and maintenance of applications and databases.
• Collaborate with IT associates and consultants on project development and maintenance.
• Help write and maintain custom application programs.
• Convert programs from RPG III to RPG IV/Free and RPG ILE as required.
• Provide suggestions for improving applications and optimizing performance.

What you will need

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Strong interest in software development and RPG programming.
• Willingness to learn online and batch processing requirements.
• Ability to read and understand existing program logic to determine required changes.
• Positive attitude, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of source control tools like Aldon or opcode optimization is a bonus.
