The company serves clients in oil and gas, power generation, utilities, and various industrial and commercial sectors, with offices in Kota Kinabalu and Kuala Lumpur. FSV is the Sole Agent for Qualitrol – IRIS Power and an Authorized Distributor for Teledyne FLIR and Framatome in Malaysia, enabling access to advanced diagnostic technologies. The company is registered with major regulators and industry players such as MOF, CIDB, TNB, SESB, and PETRONAS, and maintains long-term contracts with reputable clients. FSV’s multidisciplinary team of certified professionals is dedicated to delivering accurate diagnostics that support asset integrity, operational reliability, and long-term cost savings across critical infrastructure in Malaysia and the surrounding region.


Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sales Application Engineer role based in Ampang. The Sales Application Engineer will work closely with clients to understand technical requirements, propose suitable CBM and engineering solutions, and prepare detailed technical and commercial proposals. Daily tasks include conducting product demonstrations, providing pre- and post-sales technical support, and coordinating with principals and internal engineering teams to design and optimize solutions. The role involves preparing technical presentations, responding to tenders and RFQs, and supporting site visits, commissioning, and troubleshooting as needed. The Sales Application Engineer will also help build and maintain strong customer relationships, gather market and competitor insights, and contribute to sales growth and project success.


Qualifications

  • Strong sales-related capabilities, including Sales Engineering and Sales skills, with the ability to translate technical features into customer value.
  • Solid technical foundation in Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, including familiarity with power systems, rotating equipment, diagnostics, or CBM-related technologies.
  • Experience providing Technical Support to industrial clients, including troubleshooting, onsite support, and coordination with engineering teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills in English (additional languages are an advantage), with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work on-site, travel to client locations when required, and manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Utilities, or industrial sectors is an advantage; prior experience with CBM, diagnostics, or E&M systems is beneficial.
