Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Design & Engineering Engineer role based in Kapar. The Design & Engineering Engineer will translate retail concepts into detailed technical drawings and production-ready designs, ensuring constructability, quality, and cost efficiency. The role includes developing modular fixture solutions, selecting appropriate materials and hardware, and collaborating with internal teams across design, production, and project management. The engineer will prepare and revise CAD models and shop drawings, support prototyping and testing, and provide technical guidance during fabrication and installation. Daily responsibilities also involve coordinating with suppliers, resolving engineering issues on the shop floor, and maintaining documentation to meet project timelines and client specifications.
Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with the ability to convert design intent into practical, manufacturable solutions.
• Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, structural integrity, and assembly methods for wood, metal, and solid surface components.
• Hands-on experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 2D drafting and 3D modeling, preferably in a manufacturing or fixtures environment.
• Basic understanding of Electrical Engineering considerations for integrated lighting and power components in store fixtures is an advantage.
• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
• Experience in retail fixtures, furniture, or related manufacturing industries is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional and on-site production teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, time management, and commitment to meeting project deadlines and quality standards.
