Roles & Responsibilities

A Planner typically handles:

1. Production Planning

• Prepare daily / weekly / monthly production schedules

• Ensure production targets are met based on demand and capacity

• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and procurement teams

2. Material Planning

• Monitor raw material availability

• Plan material requirements to avoid shortage or overstock

• Work closely with suppliers and purchasing team

3. Inventory Control

• Maintain optimal stock levels

• Track inventory movement and aging stock

• Support stock count and reconciliation activities

4. Coordination & Communication

• Liaise between sales, production, logistics & purchasing

• Update stakeholders on production delays or changes

• Ensure smooth workflow across departments

5. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare planning reports (output, efficiency, shortages)

• Analyze demand vs production capacity

• Improve planning accuracy and efficiency

Job Requirements (3–5 Years Experience)

• Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

• 3–5 years’ experience in planning / production / supply chain role

• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Table, reporting)

• Familiar with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)

• Good communication and coordination skills

• Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines

• Detail-oriented and analytical
