We are partnering with a large and highly regarded organisation undertaking a significant digital transformation program. As part of this initiative, we are seeking an experienced PHP Developer to join a collaborative technology team responsible for the development, enhancement and integration of business-critical applications used by a large and diverse user community.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain PHP-based applications and services
• Develop custom functionality, integrations and APIs
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts and technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, integration and performance issues
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices
• Support platform enhancements, upgrades and ongoing optimisation initiatives
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development standards, processes and architecture

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience developing applications using PHP
• Experience with modern PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony or similar
• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs
• Experience working across application integrations and enterprise systems
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities

Desired Experience

• Experience working within large and complex technology environments
• Exposure to cloud-hosted applications and services
• Understanding of authentication, identity management and security principles
• Exposure to modern software development practices, including version control, code reviews and automated deployment processes
• Ability to quickly learn new technologies, platforms and development frameworks
