A storekeeper is responsible for managing the storage, handling, and control of materials, goods, and inventory within a warehouse, store, or site. The role ensures that items are properly received, recorded, stored, and issued in an organized and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
- Receiving Goods
- Inspect incoming materials for quantity and quality
- Verify deliveries against purchase orders or delivery orders (DO)
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records (manual or system-based)
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock
- Conduct regular stock checks and stock audits
- Storage & Organization
- Arrange and store items systematically for easy access
- Ensure proper labeling and segregation of materials
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the storage area
- Issuing Materials
- Prepare and issue materials based on request forms
- Record all outgoing items properly
- Documentation
- Keep proper records of all transactions (in/out)
- Update inventory systems, bin cards, or stock cards
- Prepare reports for management when required
- Coordination
- Work closely with procurement, site team, and suppliers
- Assist in tracking deliveries and material usage
