About the Role

GLD Alloys Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a responsible and safety-conscious Forklift Driver to support material handling, loading, unloading, storage, and movement of aluminium materials within our manufacturing plant.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift equipment safely and efficiently to support daily warehouse, production, logistics, and plant operations. This role requires good safety awareness, discipline, and the ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange raw materials, aluminium scrap, aluminium ingots, finished goods, pallets, containers, and other production materials.
• Support material movement between warehouse, production areas, storage areas, loading bays, and designated locations.
• Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage, contamination, spillage, mixing, or quality issues.
• Assist in receiving, checking, storing, issuing, and transferring materials according to company procedures.
• Support loading and unloading activities for lorries, containers, trailers, and internal transport.
• Ensure materials are properly arranged, labelled, stored, and segregated according to requirements.
• Conduct daily forklift checks before operation and report any defects, damage, breakdown, or unsafe conditions immediately.
• Ensure forklift is operated in compliance with company safety rules, traffic flow, speed limits, and workplace procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping at warehouse, production, loading, unloading, and storage areas.
• Assist in stock arrangement, inventory movement, cycle count, and material traceability activities when required.
• Follow instructions from supervisor, warehouse team, production team, and management.
• Comply with PPE requirements, safety procedures, and plant rules at all times.
• Support general warehouse and production duties when forklift operation is not required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior or management.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least SPM, Certificate, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 1 to 3 years of forklift driving experience, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, metal, recycling, heavy industry, or plant operations.
• Must possess a valid forklift driving certificate / forklift competency certificate.
• Able to operate forklift safely in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiar with loading, unloading, material handling, stacking, storage, and warehouse safety practices.
• Good understanding of workplace safety, PPE usage, traffic control, housekeeping, and material handling discipline.
• Able to follow instructions, work procedures, and safety requirements.
• Responsible, disciplined, punctual, and safety-conscious.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing plant environment involving aluminium materials, machinery, forklifts, dust, noise, heat, and industrial activities.
• Able to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or public holidays when required.

Added Advantage

• Experience in aluminium manufacturing, metal recycling, metal processing, warehouse operations, logistics, heavy manufacturing, or plant operations.
• Experience handling heavy materials, pallets, containers, scrap materials, ingots, billets, or finished goods.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control, stock arrangement, material traceability, and warehouse documentation.
• Able to assist with simple warehouse records, delivery documents, stock count, and material movement records.
• Knowledge of 5S, workplace safety, and housekeeping practices.

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
