Maintenance cum Facilities Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a versatile Maintenance cum Facilities Engineer to join our team at Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam.

The Maintenance cum Facilities Engineer will be responsible for both equipment maintenance and facility management to ensure uninterrupted operations and a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment and utilities systems
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and facility-related issues
• Plan and execute maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment and building infrastructure
• Manage contractors and vendors for facility-related services (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing)
• Support installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment and systems
• Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, and ensure regulatory compliance (OSHA, ISO, GMP)
• Maintain detailed maintenance and facility management records
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase reliability, efficiency, and safety

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or related Engineering field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and/or facility management roles, preferably in manufacturing environments
• Strong knowledge of production equipment maintenance, building utilities (HVAC, compressed air, electrical systems)
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and project management skills
• Ability to coordinate external contractors and internal teams effectively
• Familiarity with GMP, OSHA regulations, and environmental health and safety standards is an advantage
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude

Maintenance/Facilities Assistant

Role Description

We are seeking a Maintenance/Facilities Assistant to support the Engineering and Facilities team at our Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam site.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting engineers in performing routine equipment and facility inspections
• Carrying out basic maintenance tasks (e.g., minor repairs, changing filters, monitoring systems)
• Keeping maintenance logs, checklists, and reports updated
• Coordinating with vendors for repairs and maintenance services
• Assisting in stock control of spare parts and maintenance tools
• Ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or Technical Certificate, Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical/Facilities Maintenance or related fields
• Previous experience in maintenance or facility support roles preferred
• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs
• Physically fit and able to work hands-on
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and grow within a technical environment
