We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of EnterpriseDB (EDB) is a plus. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing our databases, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently. 

What You’ll Do 

• Manage and maintain PostgreSQL and MSSQL databases. 

• Set up and manage database clustering to improve availability and performance. 

• Write and optimize SQL scripts to support various business needs. 

• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and tune systems for better efficiency. 

• Handle database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes. 

• Work closely with developers and other teams to solve database-related problems. 

• Maintain database security and user access controls. 

• Use scripting tools like Python and YAML to automate tasks (preferred). 

• Support projects related to banking or payment systems (a bonus if you have experience here). 

What We’re Looking For 

• Solid experience with PostgreSQL. 

• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server databases. 

• Good problem-solving skills, especially around database performance. 

• Strong SQL scripting skills. 

• Experience setting up database clustering. 

• Familiarity with EnterpriseDB (EDB) is a plus. 

• Basic knowledge of Python and YAML scripting is a plus. 

• Experience in banking or payment industries is a plus. 

Qualifications 

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar field. 

• Relevant database certifications are a bonus. 

• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
