Our client, a multinational engineering solutions provider is seeking a Project Engineer to be based in Malaysia, supporting regional data centre projects across Southeast Asia. This role will support the execution and coordination of multiple manufacturing and deployment projects involving integrated mechanical cooling and fluid systems for mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end project coordination across engineering, procurement, production, logistics, and site teams
• Track project timelines, milestones, fabrication progress, FAT, and delivery schedules
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and regional customer teams on technical clarifications and project updates
• Support manufacturing readiness, shipment planning, and site delivery coordination
• Maintain project documentation, reports, issue logs, and project tracking tools
• Assist with risk tracking and resolution planning across multiple projects

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience within mechanical, M&E, HVAC, cooling systems, or industrial equipment environments
• Prior exposure to data centre or mission-critical projects is highly preferred
• Strong mechanical systems knowledge, particularly related to chilled water, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, or modular systems
• Experience working in fast-paced, multi-project environments
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project, SharePoint, BIM360, or similar project/documentation tools
• Professional communication skills in English and Mandarin will be advantageous
