Job Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of internal team members, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver projects according to plan. The role requires strong technical expertise in PLC systems, automation technologies, and industrial control systems.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Define and document project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines aligned with business goals.
• Develop full-scale project plans, schedules, and communication documents.
• Estimate required resources, manpower, and project participants.
• Draft, submit, and manage budget proposals, including necessary revisions.
• Plan and schedule project milestones and ensure adherence to deadlines using appropriate tools.
• Identify project dependencies, critical paths, and potential risks.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

• Communicate project expectations clearly and timely to internal teams and stakeholders.
• Set, manage, and maintain project expectations throughout the project cycle.
• Prepare and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation, and presentations.

Team & Contractor Management

• Assess and recommend additional staffing or consultants when required.
• Manage on-site contractors to ensure tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards and method statements.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

Technical Requirements

Automation & Control Systems

• Proficient in Siemens Simatic S5 (added advantage) and S7 PLC programming, including Simatic Classic and TIA Portal.
• Experience in HMI/SCADA platforms such as WinCC, Wonderware, or Citect.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial control systems and instrumentation.

Software & Tools

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, word processing, and spreadsheets is required.
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, MS Project Server).
• Understanding of business solutions such as DMS, CRM, and web technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in project management, including full-cycle project execution.
• Experience in Technology, Manufacturing, FMCG, or Industrial Automation industries is an advantage.
• Valid driving license and must possess own transport.
• Willing to travel extensively.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
