We're Hiring: Financial Controller
Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (On-site)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to lead the Group's financial management, reporting, compliance, and governance functions across multiple countries in Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Leadership

• Oversee Group financial management, reporting, and compliance activities.
• Lead preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS/MFRS.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and external audit processes.

Strategic Planning & Performance

• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance monitoring.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop management reporting frameworks and performance dashboards.

Statutory & Tax Compliance

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations across Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
• Oversee statutory reporting, tax submissions, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate with local finance teams, auditors, tax agents, and legal advisors.

Governance & Risk Management

• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
• Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance standards and local regulations.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor regional finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Foster a high-performance culture focused on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Drive consistency and alignment of finance operations across the Group.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive finance experience with regional or group-level responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/MFRS, taxation, statutory reporting, and internal controls.
• Audit background with proven leadership experience.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and regional compliance requirements.
• Ability to travel and manage cross-border teams effectively.
