Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and develop mechanical and electrical engineering designs, calculations, specifications and technical reports for building and infrastructure projects.
- Coordinate M&E design works with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and other project stakeholders.
- Review project requirements, client briefs and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with applicable standards and codes.
- Produce and review engineering drawings, schematics and tender documentation.
- Conduct engineering analysis and feasibility studies for M&E systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical distribution, lighting, ELV and renewable energy systems.
- Attend project meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers and relevant authorities.
- Review contractors’ shop drawings, material submissions, method statements, and technical proposals for compliance with design intent.
- Carry out site inspections and monitor construction progress to ensure M&E installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues during design and construction stages.
- Assist in testing, commissioning and project handover activities.
- Prepare progress reports, technical correspondence and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations, authority requirements, environmental standards and health and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in M&E design consultancy, building services engineering or engineering consulting projects.
- Strong knowledge of building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, lighting and ELV systems.
- Familiarity with local authority requirements, engineering standards and building regulations.
- Proficiency in engineering and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit, BIM software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in preparing engineering calculations, specifications and technical reports.
- Ability to review shop drawings and coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Graduate Engineer registration or membership with relevant professional institutions will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to attend site visits, client meetings and authority submissions as required.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
