Job Summary
To support MNPD in legal, regulatory and public policy matters by preparing quality papers, reports, minutes, correspondence and regulatory documents to ensure the department's initiatives are aligned with the CMA 1998, relevant regulations and MCMC's policy objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Prepare policy papers, reports, minutes, correspondence and briefing materials to support MNPD's functions and initiatives.
- Assist in reviewing departmental documents to ensure alignment with the CMA 1998, relevant regulations, licence conditions and Commission directions.
- Support the drafting of official letters, regulatory instructions and formal communications to stakeholders and licensees.
- Coordinate with internal divisions, including Legal Advisory Department, on regulatory and policy matters related to mobile network planning.
- Assist in preparing responses, recommendations and feedback for management, stakeholders and incoming proposals.
- Support meetings, workshops and stakeholder engagements, including preparation of minutes, reports and follow-up actions.
- Maintain proper documentation, records and references related to departmental matters.
- Support the Head of Department and senior executives on administrative, policy and regulatory-related tasks as assigned
- Support execution of departmental initiatives and ad-hoc tasks as required
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Degree in Law, Public Policy, Public Administration, Communications, Regulatory Studies or related fields,
- Candidates from other fields with experience in telecommunications regulatory, legal or policy-related work may also be considered.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in legal, regulatory, public policy or administrative support work.
- Familiar with the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 (CMA 1998) and related regulatory frameworks.
- Good writing skills in preparing official letters, reports, minutes and management papers.
- Good coordination and stakeholder management skills.
