This internship is intended for university students who are required to complete industrial training or an internship as part of their degree programme. During the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in backend software development by supporting the development and maintenance of web applications and internal systems. You will work with modern technologies, APIs, and databases while collaborating with experienced developers on real-world projects. The internship will provide exposure to software development best practices, code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and cross-functional teamwork, helping you build a strong foundation for a career in software engineering.

Responsibilities
• Assist in developing and maintaining web applications and internal systems • Support backend development using Ruby on Rails and/or PHP Laravel • Work with APIs, databases, and business logic implementation • Contribute to frontend features using Vue.js • Debug, test, and troubleshoot application issues • Participate in code reviews and team discussions • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code • Collaborate with developers, QA, and project stakeholders on feature implementation • Learn and follow software development best practices and coding standards
Qualifications:
Must-have: • Basic understanding of web application development • Familiarity with at least one backend programming language such as: • PHP/Ruby • Basic knowledge of Git version control • Basic knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL Good-to-have: • Basic frontend knowledge in Vue.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an advantage • Knowledge in RESTful APIs Soft Skills: • Good written and spoken English communication skills. • Attention to detail and willingness to learn from feedback. • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. • Proactive attitude towards learning and collaboration. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
Education:
Undergraduates pursuing a bachelor's degree in: • Computer Science • Software Engineering • Information Technology • Computer Engineering • Or other related technical disciplines
