Job Summary

The Logistics Executive (Import & Export) is responsible for managing and coordinating all logistics activities related to the transportation of cranes, heavy equipment, spare parts, and project materials. This role involves handling import and export documentation, customs clearance processes, shipment coordination, and ensuring smooth inbound and outbound logistics operations while complying with all regulatory requirements.

Import & Export Management

• Coordinate and manage all import and export activities for cranes, heavy equipment, spare parts, and project materials.
• Prepare, review, and submit import/export documentation, including Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading (B/L), Air Waybill (AWB), Certificate of Origin (COO), and other related documents.
• Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies.
• Liaise with customs authorities, freight forwarders, shipping agents, and government agencies to facilitate timely clearance of shipments.

Shipment Coordination

• Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Monitor shipment schedules and provide regular updates on shipment status.
• Track cargo movement and resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, or transportation issues.
• Arrange transportation and logistics services for domestic and international deliveries.

Customs & Regulatory Compliance

• Manage customs clearance procedures and ensure all required permits and approvals are obtained.
• Ensure accurate tariff classification and documentation to avoid customs delays and penalties.
• Keep updated with customs regulations, import/export requirements, and industry best practices.

Heavy Equipment Logistics

• Coordinate the transportation and mobilization of cranes and heavy equipment to project sites.
• Work closely with project teams to ensure equipment is delivered according to project schedules.
• Arrange special transportation permits and route planning when required for oversized or heavy cargo.

Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, transport providers, and other logistics service providers.
• Negotiate freight rates and logistics costs to achieve cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Evaluate vendor performance and recommend improvements where necessary.

Inventory & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, logistics transactions, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare logistics reports, shipment status reports, and cost analysis reports for management review.
• Monitor logistics expenses and assist in budget control initiatives.

Requirements Education

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in logistics, import & export operations, freight forwarding, or supply chain management.
• Experience in handling customs clearance and international shipments is highly preferred.
• Experience in heavy equipment, crane operations, construction, engineering, or industrial sectors will be an added advantage.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of import/export procedures, customs regulations, and international shipping documentation.
• Familiarity with freight forwarding, shipping operations, and customs clearance processes.
• Good understanding of Incoterms and international trade practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and coordination abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience handling heavy equipment logistics and project cargo.
• Familiarity with customs systems and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Possession of a valid driving license is an added advantage.

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
