Job Summary
The Junior Technician (CNC Turning) is responsible for operating CNC Turning machines, performing basic machine setup, conducting quality inspections, and supporting production activities to ensure products meet quality, delivery, and safety requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation
- Operate CNC Turning machines according to work instructions and production schedules.
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods.
- Monitor machine performance and report any abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Perform basic machine setup and tooling changes as assigned.
- Ensure production output meets daily targets.
Quality Control
- Read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
- Perform dimensional inspections using measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and Plug Gauge.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure product quality.
- Segregate and report non-conforming products.
Equipment & Maintenance
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting minor machine issues.
- Support maintenance personnel during machine repair and servicing activities.
- Ensure machines and equipment are in good working condition.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all safety rules, procedures, and company policies.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices (5S) in the work area.
- Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete production records and inspection reports accurately.
- Report production, quality, or machine-related issues promptly to the supervisor.
- Support inventory and tooling control activities when required.
RequirementsEducation
- SPM, SKM, Certificate, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Machining Technology, or related field.
Experience
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in CNC Turning or manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiar with measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willing to work shifts and overtime when required.
Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
