RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and develop new business prospects in the boiler, pressure vessel, industrial equipment, and related engineering sectors.
- Maintain good relationships with existing and potential customers by providing timely follow-up, product information, and technical support.
- Understand customer requirements, including scope of supply, technical specifications, site conditions, delivery expectations, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on quotations, tenders, and sales proposals accurately and within the required timeline.
- Coordinate with Proposal, Design, Project, Production, Procurement, and Accounts departments to obtain the necessary technical, costing, delivery, and execution inputs before submitting proposals.
- Ensure proposals are technically suitable, commercially sound, and aligned with the Company’s costing, margin, scope, and execution capability.
- Review customer specifications, tender requirements, contract terms, and purchase order conditions during the quotation and order stage, and highlight any unusual terms, risks, or deviations to Management for review.
- Follow up consistently with customers on quotations, tenders, order status, and pending matters to improve sales conversion.
- Update and maintain customer enquiries, quotation status, follow-up actions, and sales opportunities in the Company’s CRM or reporting system.
- Support internal coordination for confirmed orders, including handover to the relevant departments for project execution, production planning, delivery, billing, and collection matters.
- Support timely billing and payment collection by coordinating with customers and internal departments where required.
- Prepare sales reports, quotation status updates, customer follow-up reports, and other reports as required by Management.
- Provide quality service and timely response to customers throughout the sales process.
- Carry out administrative work related to sales activities.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Management from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or other related engineering disciplines from a recognised institution.
- Preferably with at least 3 years of working experience in engineering sales, project-based industries, industrial equipment, boilers, pressure vessels, or related fields.
- Experience in boiler-related industries will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with a strong interest in technical sales and industrial engineering are encouraged to apply. Training and guidance will be provided.
