Job Description
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting warehouse and production operations by handling material movement, kitting, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and ensuring accurate material transactions. The role requires maintaining material accuracy, proper storage, and timely delivery of materials to support production and customer requirements.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantity, condition, and documentation against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Perform material storage, labeling, movement, and inventory transactions accurately within the system.
- Prepare and issue production kits according to work orders and production schedules while ensuring material accuracy and completeness.
- Support shipping activities including packing, labeling, documentation preparation, and coordination of outgoing shipments to customers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper material handling, cycle counts, FIFO practice, and physical inventory support.
- Deliver materials to production areas and ensure timely replenishment of required materials.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts safely and efficiently where applicable.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S standards within warehouse and storage areas.
- Follow all company safety, quality, EHS, and operational procedures while reporting any discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns promptly.
Requirements
- Minimum high school certificate/SPM or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, logistics, or material handling experience is an added advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and inventory system experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Willing to work shifts, overtime, or weekends when required.
- Forklift license/certification is an added advantage.
