Key Responsibilities

Lens Edging & Assembly

Operate lens edging machines to cut and shape lenses according to frame specifications
Assemble lenses into frames accurately and securely
Conduct quality checks to ensure prescription accuracy, lens alignment, and finishing standards
Troubleshoot minor edging or fitting issues

Quality Control

Verify lens prescriptions against job orders before and after edging
Inspect frames and lenses for defects or damage
Ensure all completed jobs meet company quality and safety standards

Inventory & Equipment Maintenance

Maintain proper handling and storage of lenses and frames
Monitor inventory levels of lenses, tools, and consumables
Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of edging machines
Report equipment faults or technical issues promptly

Operational Support

Ensure timely processing of orders to meet service turnaround time
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lab area
Support opticians and retail team when required

Requirements

Minimum Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in lens edging or optical lab operations preferred
Comfortable handling technical equipment and machinery
Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in manual work
Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
Team player with good communication skills
