Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly responsible Assistant Manager, Logistics to oversee and manage the daily operations of the company’s lorries and low loaders for both Northport and Westport operations. The ideal candidate must be able to ensure smooth transportation activities, coordinate drivers efficiently, minimize operational delays and maintain high operational standards at all times.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily logistics and transportation operations for company lorries and low loaders.
- Manage operations involving both Northport and Westport.
- Arrange and coordinate lorry driver bookings for job assignments.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, ad-hoc repairs, and PUSPAKOM inspections for all vehicles.
- Work closely with the in-house workshop regarding maintenance and repair matters.
- Ensure there are no operational delays and respond effectively to unforeseen issues such as driver shortages.
- Plan and coordinate lorry driver meetings with Management once every two months.
- Monitor and ensure smooth and efficient lorry operations at all times.
- Prepare and maintain logistics documentation and operational reports on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Monitor fleet utilization, driver performance and operational efficiency.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity and reduce downtime.
Requirements
- Minimum 10–15 years of proven experience in managing logistics or transportation operations.
- Strong experience in handling and managing more than 30 lorries simultaneously.
- Experience in port-related logistics operations, preferably involving Northport and Westport.
- Familiar with logistics documentation, scheduling and reporting systems.
- Strong leadership, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle operational emergencies effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work closely with drivers, workshop personnel and Management.
- Candidates must be capable of proposing and implementing at least two operational improvement initiatives within the first 2–3 months of employment.
- Ability to attract and bring in experienced lorry drivers to join the company will be an added advantage.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
