A. Job Objective
Responsible for oversight of the management accounts team. The post holder is a member of the Finance Leadership Team. The role provides leadership, direction and development of the team, controls, systems and processes.
B. Primary Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the full set of accounts for multiple entities within the Group, including property investment, leasing, retail shops, and restaurant operations.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial closing processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Prepare consolidated management reports, financial statements, variance analysis, cash flow forecasts, and performance reports for Management and Board review.
- Monitor and analyze business performance across different business units and provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, audit requirements, and statutory obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, and relevant authorities on financial and compliance matters.
- Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, and intercompany transactions to ensure accuracy and proper controls.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes for the Group.
- Oversee treasury functions including cash flow management, funding requirements, and banking facilities.
- Monitor tenancy-related financial matters including rental collections, lease accounting, service charges, and property-related expenses.
- Support retail and restaurant business operations by monitoring sales reporting, cost control, inventory valuation, and operational profitability.
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial governance across all business units.
- Lead, supervise, and develop the finance and accounting team to ensure operational efficiency and high performance.
- Assist in business expansion, new investments, due diligence, and special projects as assigned by Management.
- Perform any other finance, accounting, and corporate assignments as directed by Management.
