Job Description
About the team
The Data Science and Analytics team conducts analysis for the business to drive growth, improve business performance and derive insights for key stakeholders. The team is responsible for conducting analysis, presenting key information and insights in visual charts and dashboards, facilitating campaign performance end-to-end, track and drive key metrics, and work with the business to increase sales, customer engagement, and overall business performance.
Focus of the Internship
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to apply their data skills to derive actionable insights and address real-world business problems. You'll gain hands-on experience in working with and summarizing data and information, running business experiments, work collaboratively with business stakeholders, and use data to solve business problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and devise data-driven solutions
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements for data / campaign requests and ensure data extraction accuracy
- Conduct statistical analysis on collected data, identifying meaningful patterns and actionable insights
- Utilize SQL to perform data and campaign data extractions for internal stakeholders
- Utilize SQL to efficiently clean, transform, and analyze large and intricate datasets
- Create visual charts and dashboards to drive analysis, insights and reporting for business stakeholders
Key Learnings:
- How to practically utilize data skills to solve business problems and come up with actionable insights that benefit business stakeholders
- How to optimize queries and code to ensure that the query runs more efficiently and facilitate readability and collaboration with other team members
- Collaborate well with others, and how to scope and clarify problem statements to ensure that requirements are captured correctly
Education and Experience Requirements:
- SQL proficiency is mandatory
- Python proficiency would be an advantage
- Experience with visualization tools (e.g. Qlik) will be an advantage
- Experience in using GenAI tools or AI agents for coding purposes or data analysis is preferred
- Strong writing and communication skills with excellent command of English
- Highly motivated individual with strong curiosity to seek insights from data to tell a story to business stakholders for decision-making
- The ideal candidate is pursuing or has completed a master's or bachelor's degree with a specialization in Data Analytics / Data Science or Computer Science
- Candidate with non-technical majors and self-learned data analytics/ science or computer science skills are welcome to apply
