About the Role
The HR Business Partner is a generalist and responsible to deliver our People agenda, including talent acquisition, performance management and employee engagement for our Malaysia Cyberjaya operation. In this role, you will help build leadership capability, strengthen employee experience, and ensure our people practices support business performance in a fast-paced, collaborative environment to deliver our people agenda and business results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Partner with business leaders to align people priorities with business goals and provide trusted advice on HR matters.
- Coach and support managers on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and team effectiveness.
- Handle employee relations matters, performance issues, and disciplinary processes in a fair, consistent, and timely manner, providing guidance to managers and ensuring compliance with company policy and employment legislation.
- Lead end-to-end talent activities, including workforce planning, recruitment, onboarding, development, retention, and exit processes.
- Drive talent management and organisational development initiatives, including succession planning, capability building, and training plans.
- Champion employee engagement and act as an employee advocate to help foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
- Support performance and reward processes, including salary reviews, compensation benchmarking, and benefits implementation.
- Maintain and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and programmes in line with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Support occupational safety and health (OSH) matters by ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, working closely with the OSH committee and stakeholders, and following up on related actions and initiatives.
- Manage HR administration, reporting, payroll inputs, and employee records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labour requirements.
- Promote the company’s employer value proposition through internal and external channels to support attraction and brand visibility.
- Contribute to regional HR initiatives, change programmes, and organisational transformation projects as required.
The Individual and their Experience:
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong generalist HR experience, sound business partnering capability, and the confidence to influence stakeholders at different levels. You will be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, using data and insight to support decisions, and working collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 5 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in an HR Business Partner or broad HR generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, talent acquisition, organisational development, and HR operations.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with leaders, build credibility, and influence decision-making across the business.
- Experience managing change, supporting transformation initiatives, and delivering practical people solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into action.
- Good understanding of employment legislation and HR compliance requirements.
- Comfortable using HR systems and digital tools; experience with Workday or similar HR platforms would be an advantage.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and coaching skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
- Experience in a regional, global, technology, or managed services environment would be advantageous.
