The Customs Clerk supports daily customs clearance activities by handling physical documentation, coordinating with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) and other authorities, and ensuring timely processing of shipment-related documents. This role is essential to ensure efficient clearance and compliance with Malaysian customs regulations.

How you create impact

Operational / Tactical duties

• Collect, submit, and deliver shipping and customs documents to JKDM and relevant authorities
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation (e.g., K1/K2 forms, invoices, permits)
• Liaise with customs officers and government agencies to process approvals and clearances
• Obtain permits, duty receipts, endorsements, and official stamps in a timely manner
• Track document status and support resolution of basic clearance delays or issues
  
  

Leadership Responsibility

• Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with company SOPs and regulatory requirements
• Maintain professional conduct when dealing with customs officers and external stakeholders
• Support teamwork and smooth coordination within customs operations
  
  

Financial Responsibility

• Safeguard handling of cash payments, duties, taxes, and official receipts (if applicable)
• Avoid penalties or additional costs by ensuring timely and correct document submission
  
  

Strategic Responsibility

• Contribute to efficient and compliant customs clearance operations
• Support service reliability and on-time delivery performance
  
  

What we would like you to bring

• Basic knowledge of customs declaration and operations
• Certified customs certificate (mandatory/preferred)
• 1–3 years of relevant experience
• Basic skills in email and Microsoft Excel
• Good command of English
