Duties & Responsibilities:
General Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of hotel equipment and building systems
- Attend to breakdowns, faults, and maintenance requests from all hotel departments.
- Carry out corrective repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Replace defective components such as bulbs, fuses, switches, motors, belts, and fittings.
Electrical & Mechanical Works
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems (single-phase and three-phase).
- Service and repair motors, pumps, fans, kitchen equipment, and mechanical devices.
- Assist in restoring power during electrical failures or emergencies.
- Ensure proper functioning of lighting systems, including indoor, outdoor, and emergency lighting.
Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration
- Assist in maintenance and repair of air-conditioning systems (FCU, AHU, split units, chillers).
- Monitor temperatures of cold rooms, freezers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and support gas leakage checks and minor servicing tasks.
Plumbing & Building Systems
- Repair and maintain water supply systems, drainage, and plumbing fixtures.
- Monitor water levels, pumps, tanks, and related mechanical systems.
- Carry out inspections of building facilities, plant rooms, and service areas.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Take and record daily readings of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Maintain log sheets for equipment performance and maintenance activities.
- Report faults, defects, and repair needs to supervisors or management.
Operational Support
- Respond promptly to guest complaints and service requests.
- Assist during emergencies, safety drills, and power failures.
- Support other engineering team members and contractors when required.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are kept clean and in good condition.
Requirements:
- Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Air Conditioning, or related field
- At least 1–2 years of working experience in maintenance or technical services
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, and general repair works
- Able to troubleshoot and carry out preventive maintenance
- Knowledge of safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willing to work shifts, weekends, or public holidays if required
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
- Possess basic computer knowledge for maintenance reporting (preferred)
