Main Roles:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in executing and completing various industrial automation/control System and industrial digitalization projects. At this level, supervision and guidance will be given to you by your senior or superior.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Study project specifications to understand customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers, vendors, and principals to address technical and commercial issues.
• Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.
• Procure project materials, equipment, and manpower on a timely basis.
• Control project costs to minimize non-conformance expenses.
• Perform engineering and software design work based on project specifications, such as
  • Industrial automation and control system design, which involve PLC programming, SCADA/HMI development, and control panel design.

  • Meter data and billing management system software design.

  • Industrial IoT, CMMS, and MES development.

  • IT & Networking, cybersecurity, and Cloud Solutions design.

  • Electrical & Instrumentation design.

• Prepare various engineering and software design documents, including:
  • Functional Design Specification (FDS)

  • Datasheets

  • General Arrangement, wiring and schematic drawing

  • Testing procedures/Check Sheets

• Perform in-house testing (Factory Acceptance Test).
• Deploy, install, testing, and commission systems on-site.
• Maintain proper project documentation and records according to the company’s ISO9001 Quality Management System.
• Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Education & Experience:

• Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic or other relevant discipline.
• Less than 5 years of experience in similar environment.

Skill/Knowledge & Requirements:

• Proficient knowledge of and experience with IT & Networking, Cloud technology (eg. Microsoft Azure), IIoT solutions, PLC & SCADA programming, Control System design and Project Management.
• Proficiency in C++, .NET, C#, and JavaScript will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrates a willingness to learn new knowledge and the ability to acquire new skills as needed
• Demonstrates the ability to resolve issues efficiently, with strong problem-solving skills that include anticipating, identifying, and addressing challenges independently.
• Given the project-driven nature of the role, candidates must be capable of working under high pressure and willing to work irregular hours when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), essential for conducting meetings, leading negotiations, and preparing reports & procedures.
• Expected to travel around Malaysia and oversea to execute and support onshore and offshore project.
