JOB OVERVIEW

QA/QC (Quality Assurance/Quality Control) Manager is responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance and quality control functions within a company, ensuring that products or services meet all regulatory, customer, and company standards. This role involves setting quality policies, developing and implementing quality management systems, and overseeing quality processes throughout the production or service lifecycle.

The QA/QC Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to drive quality initiatives and continuous improvement efforts. They analyse quality data, identify trends, and address root causes to prevent defects. The role requires strong leadership skills to guide a team of QA/QC staff and instill a culture of quality across the organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Establish, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards
• Ensure product quality through effective inspection, testing, and monitoring at all stages of production
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes for internal issues and customer complaints
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality performance and reduce defects
• Manage and develop QA/QC team members to ensure competency and high performance
• Monitor and report quality KPIs to top management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards (ISO 14001)
• Develop and implement Process Flow, Control Plans, and FMEA
• Collaborate with internal departments to align quality objectives with business goals
• Manage supplier quality performance and corrective actions
• Maintain proper documentation, traceability, and adherence to quality procedures

AUTHORITY

• Authority to place non-conforming materials or products on hold
• Authority to determine disposition of non-conforming items
• Authority to stop production in the event of quality abnormalities
• Authority to approve quality standards, procedures, and testing methods
• Authority to approve inspection and testing equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, Mechatronics, or related field) or equivalent
• Master’s Degree in Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, or MBA (advantageous)
• Professional certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3, or AS9100 are an added advantage

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
