A Quantity Surveyor is responsible for managing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring financial efficiency in construction projects. They work closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to deliver projects within budget and according to required standards.
Location: Pendang, Kedah
Working Hours: Sunday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for construction projects
- Analyze project plans, drawings, and specifications to determine material and labor requirements
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
- Monitor project costs and track variations throughout the construction process
- Prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) and cost reports
- Evaluate contractor bids and negotiate contracts
- Manage procurement of materials and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with legal and quality standards
- Assess and certify interim and final payments
- Identify and manage project risks related to cost and contracts
- Provide financial advice to clients and project teams
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office tools
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
