Position: Optometrist
Salary: RM4,000 – RM5,000
Working Days: 5 working days
Working Hours: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Location: No. 16-G, Jalan Eco Grandeur 1/9A, Eco Grandeur, 42300 Puncak Alam, Selangor
Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to provide professional eye care services, deliver accurate vision assessments, and support both clinical and retail operations.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting eye examinations, prescribing optical solutions, and ensuring patients receive proper education and aftercare. You will also handle customer enquiries, manage sales processes, and maintain smooth daily operations within the optical store.
This position is suitable for individuals who are detail-oriented, clinically responsible, and able to balance both healthcare service and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and perform accurate refraction and ocular health assessments
2. Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses, including fitting, patient education, and aftercare services
3. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and refer abnormal cases to ophthalmologists when necessary
4. Ensure compliance with clinical standards and participate in continuous professional development
5. Handle customer enquiries via walk-in, WhatsApp, and phone calls, converting them into confirmed sales
6. Manage POS transactions, payments, receipts, and follow up on orders to ensure timely completion
7. Perform edging, quality control checks, packaging, and after-sales services such as adjustments and minor repairs
8. Conduct daily stock counts, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure proper product display and organisation
9. Maintain accurate patient/customer records with confidentiality and proper documentation
10. Carry out opening and closing duties, cleanliness maintenance, and prepare daily sales reports
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Optometry or equivalent qualification
2. Registered with relevant professional body (if applicable)
3. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
4. Able to work in both clinical and retail/customer service environment
