We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage the full project lifecycle of industrial automation projects, from initiation through closure. The role involves coordinating cross-functional teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of the automation domain, proven project leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience in managing Agile-based automation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery & Governance

• Manage end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring effective control of scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risks.
• Ensure compliance with project governance, quality assurance, and documentation standards.
• Monitor project progress, risks, and issues; provide regular reporting and escalate critical matters to management and stakeholders.
• Conduct project reviews and lessons-learned sessions to drive continuous improvement in project delivery.

Team Leadership & Execution

• Coordinate and oversee cross-functional project teams, including consultants, engineers, developers, testers, and trainers.
• Ensure project execution aligns with Agile project management standards and best practices.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project team members to foster a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations and maintaining strong working relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct project meetings, including stand-ups, steering committee meetings, and regular status updates with internal and external stakeholders.

Automation Implementation Oversight

• Facilitate and coordinate key automation project activities, including: Functional Design Specification (FDS) development
• Electrical and mechanical drawings
• PLC, HMI, and drive programming
• Testing and validation
• Training
• Commissioning
• Change management
• Ensure all deliverables meet agreed technical and business requirements.

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of project management experience.
• At least 3 years managing industrial automation implementation projects (e.g. food, pharmaceutical, mining, metal, or similar industries).
• Strong understanding of industrial automation processes and project delivery requirements.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional and client-facing projects.
• Solid knowledge of Agile methodologies with hands-on experience running Agile projects.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and sound decision-making under pressure.
• Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, *************, or equivalent platforms.
• Project Management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile / Scrum Master.

Pay: RM5,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
