Job Responsibilities
- Assist in managing Accounts Payable (AP) functions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all financial transactions are processed in a timely manner.
- Process, verify, and key in AP invoices, staff claims, and driver commissions into the accounting system with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Review, reconcile, and verify sales invoices and supporting documents to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal procedures and financial standards.
- Prepare standard journal entries and maintain well-organized, accurate, and up-to-date accounting records and documentation.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues promptly to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and issue Debit Notes, Credit Notes, and other related financial documents when required.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, management reports, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Support daily accounting operations, administrative duties, and ad-hoc assignments assigned by management when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies, accounting procedures, and internal control requirements.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth financial and operational processes.
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferably with experience in Accounts Payable (AP), accounting operations, or general finance functions.
- Candidates with more than 1 year of experience handling full set accounts will have an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping practices, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting software; experience using accounting systems will be an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organized, responsible, and capable of handling confidential financial information professionally.
- Able to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.
