Civil Engineer (Building Construction)

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Civil Engineer to oversee and manage building construction projects from planning to completion. The candidate will be responsible for supervising site activities, ensuring work quality, monitoring project progress, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at site
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and relevant authorities
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, and project documentation
• Monitor project schedules and ensure timely completion of work
• Conduct site inspections and quality control checks
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Review technical drawings, method statements, and material submissions
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and cost control
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions at site
• Attend project meetings and liaise with clients when required
• Monitor manpower, materials, and machinery usage at site

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2–5 years of working experience in building construction projects
• Knowledge in construction methods, structural works, and site management
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and MS Office
• Good understanding of local authority requirements and safety regulations
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and under pressure
• Possess own transport and willing to travel to project sites

Preferred Skills

• Experience in high-rise, commercial, or residential building projects
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and project coordination
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
