• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes including screening, grit removal, sedimentation, biological treatment, MBR and sludge handling.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on plant equipment such as pumps, blowers, valves, motors, chemical feed systems, MBR systems and instrumentation.
• Conduct daily plant inspections, record operational data, and maintain accurate logs (flow rates, pH, dissolved oxygen, MLSS, etc.).
• Collect water and sludge samples for laboratory testing and perform basic on-site analysis.
• Troubleshoot operational problems and equipment failures; respond to alarms and emergencies promptly.
• Adjust process controls (chemical dosing, aeration rates, sludge wasting, etc.) to optimize treatment efficiency.
• Perform housekeeping, cleaning, and minor repair works throughout the plant.
• Ensure compliance with DOE (Department of Environment) Malaysia regulations, local discharge standards, and safety protocols.
• · Assist in preparing reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Participate in shift duties and be available for emergency call-outs.
• Ensure WWTP in good running order with no abnormal loads that may effect its operation
• Dose in chemical to ensure water treatment system is good stable working condition.
• Cost effective use of chemicals
• To report on any abnormalities in the WWTP operation to Reporting Manager and Engineer.
• To carry out any additional jobs as assigned by management from time to time.
• Report any non-conformance and food safety issues to the Food Safety Team Leader.

Are you the one?

• Minimum Diploma in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent certification).
• Good working knowledge of wastewater treatment principles and processes (activated sludge, MBR, ASR, etc. is an advantage).
• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience working in a wastewater treatment plant, industrial effluent plant, or similar process environment.
• Trained to operate the waste water treatment plant.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM1,800.00 - RM2,800.00 per month

Work Location: In person
