Job Description: Business Development Executive
Business Development & Market Expansion
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold calling, lead generation, and tender monitoring.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Present and propose the company’s product and project solutions, understanding client needs and proposing customized, value-driven solutions.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while ensuring commercially favorable and profitable terms for the company.
- Support Management in stakeholder engagement activities, including client meetings, presentations, and performance review sessions.
Tender & Proposal Management
- Prepare, review, and submit sales proposals ensuring a thorough understanding of the requirements, scope, and evaluation criteria.
- Liaise with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotations, technical specifications, compliance documents, and commercial terms required for tenders and proposals.
- Evaluate supplier pricing, delivery timelines, and contractual terms to ensure competitiveness and project feasibility.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all tender submissions, correspondence, approvals, and contractual documents.
Commercial & Financial Management
- Develop sales forecasts, budget projections, and business case analysis including cost estimation, margin, and ROI assessment.
- Monitor sales performance against targets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate pricing structures, cost breakdowns, and profitability analysis prior to proposal submission.
- Negotiate and close sales deals while ensuring commercially favorable and profitable terms for the company.
Contract & Commercial Documentation Control
- Prepare, review, and manage commercial documentation including NDAs, MOUs, contracts, purchase orders, variation orders, and service agreements.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of contractual documents and approvals.
Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Prepare periodic reports (weekly/monthly/quarterly) on sales pipeline, tender status, project progress, and revenue performance for Management & stake holders.
Cross Functional Coordination & Execution Alignment
- Work closely with internal departments (Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement) to ensure alignment between commercial commitments and project execution capabilities.
- Evaluate supplier feasibility to ensure project delivery capability.
General Responsibilities
- Perform other related duties assigned by the Management from time to time.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is an added advantage.
- 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or project-based roles, preferably within steel fabrication, construction, infrastructure, or telco-related industries.
- Have experience in sales preferably in the technology or system integration industry.
- Have willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and build relationships.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective time management and goal-oriented mindset.
- Goal-oriented, proactive, and results-driven with good problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
