The EIP Educator supports infants and young children with developmental delays or disabilities by delivering structured early learning and intervention activities that promote cognitive, communication, motor, social, and emotional development. The role focuses on working directly with children and their families to build foundational skills during the critical early years of development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized early intervention and learning sessions for young children (typically ages 0–6)
- Implement goals outlined in Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) or equivalent development plans
- Support children’s development in areas such as speech, motor skills, social interaction, and early cognition
- Observe, assess, and document child progress regularly
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet each child’s developmental needs and learning style
- Collaborate with therapists (speech, occupational, behavioral) and other professionals
- Coach parents and caregivers on strategies to support learning and development at home
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and progress notes
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with young children, preferably in early intervention or special education settings
- Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles
- Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and professionals
- Basic knowledge of developmental assessment and intervention techniques
Preferred Skills / Experience
- Training in special needs education or autism spectrum support
- Experience in home-based or center-based early intervention programs
- Knowledge of behavior support strategies
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to conduct engaging, play-based learning activities
