As an IT Support Intern, you will work closely with our IT team on real-world operations that keep the company running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity to learn end-user support, device provisioning, basic network monitoring, security hygiene, and documentation within a fintech environment.
Job Description
- Assist end users with hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Help set up and provision laptops, accounts, and peripherals for new hires; support access revocation and equipment return during offboarding.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining network equipment (e.g., routers, switches) and troubleshoot issues with Wi-Fi, VPN, and printers.
- Perform basic device maintenance: OS/app installations, updates, diagnostics, and escalation when required.
- Support identity and access tasks (password resets, MFA enrollment) and follow least-privilege practices.
- Assist with endpoint compliance (patching, antivirus/EDR checks) and mobile/desktop management (e.g., Intune).
- Help manage IT assets and maintain accurate inventory records (devices, accessories, licenses).
- Document IT procedures, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides; keep records up to date.
- Perform other tasks and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the IT team.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or graduated from a Diploma/ Bachelor's in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer hardware and operating systems (Windows/macOS) and common office suites (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (IP, DNS, DHCP) and basic troubleshooting.
- Understanding of ticketing/remote support tools and good documentation practices.
- Interest in fintech, security, or scalable IT operations is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Customer-service mindset; calm under pressure and responsive to users.
- Detail-oriented with effective time management; able to handle multiple tickets.
- Basic scripting familiarity (PowerShell/Bash) and curiosity to automate repetitive tasks.
- Exposure to MDM/endpoint tools (e.g., Microsoft Intune) and identity/MFA basics (e.g., Entra ID) is a plus.
