Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or a highly related field from an accredited institution.
Experience:1–3 years of working experience in landscape design, architecture drafting, or site supervision. Fresh graduates with strong portfolio internship experience are welcome to apply.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp is mandatory. Experience with Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop/InDesign), or Revit is a strong advantage.
Horticultural Knowledge: A solid foundational understanding of tropical plant species, soil conditions, and basic growth/maintenance habits.
Certifications (Bonus): Graduate membership or registration with a professional body (such as the Institute of Landscape Architects Malaysia - ILAM) is a plus/bonus, but not compulsory.

A. Design Development & Conceptualization
Site Analysis & Research: Conduct site surveys to assess existing topography, soil conditions, drainage patterns, ecology, and existing structures.
Concept Generation: Create schematic designs, mood boards, and master plans that align with the client’s vision (e.g., minimalist, premium, or naturalistic aesthetics).
Material & Plant Selection: Select appropriate hardscape materials (paving, stone, structures) and softscapes (trees, shrubs, turf) that thrive in the local climate and match the project’s budget and maintenance capabilities.
B. Technical Documentation & Compliance
CAD Drafting & Modeling: Prepare precise site plans, working drawings, construction details, and grading plans using software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or Lumion.
Specifications & Costing: Write detailed technical specifications for materials and installation methods, and collaborate on cost estimation and bills of quantities (BQ).
Environmental & Legal Compliance: Ensure designs comply with environmental regulations, local council (MBPJ/MBSA, etc.) guidelines, zoning laws, and sustainability metrics.
C. Project Management & Site Supervision
Tender Process Support: Assist in preparing tender documents, evaluating contractor bids, and drafting construction contracts.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate and liaise with building architects, civil/structural engineers, town planners, and project managers to resolve design clashes.
Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits to audit progress, ensure contractors adhere to the precise design specifications, troubleshoot technical issues on the ground, and sign off on completed milestones.
