Job Summary
The Indian Chef is responsible for preparing and cooking authentic Indian cuisine while maintaining food quality, kitchen cleanliness, and operational efficiency. The Chef shall ensure customer satisfaction through consistent taste, presentation, and hygiene standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Indian dishes according to the restaurant’s menu and standards.
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation are consistently maintained.
- Handle food preparation, marination, sauces, gravies, and spice mixing.
- Monitor kitchen stock, ingredients, and inventory levels.
- Ensure cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas at all times.
- Follow food safety and health regulations set by management and local authorities.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
- Coordinate with kitchen staff and service team for smooth daily operations.
- Assist in developing new menu items and special dishes.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and used safely.
