About the Role
UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei is looking for a Communications & Content Executive to support our Brand and Communications function.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys writing, storytelling, media and PR work, content planning, and turning organisational activities into clear, meaningful communications.
You will support website articles, media materials, event communications, thought leadership content, content calendars, brand monitoring, and light design materials. You will also help maintain a content bank that captures key messages, stories, quotes, media mentions, event highlights, and content opportunities across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft blog articles, website updates, event recaps, programme updates, and short insight pieces.
- Support press releases, media advisories, media outreach, media monitoring, and coverage tracking.
- Monitor online mentions of the organisation, leaders, programmes, events, and initiatives.
- Identify branding and thought leadership opportunities from events, reports, speeches, publications, and industry conversations.
- Maintain a content bank of approved key messages, quotes, stories, statistics, media mentions, and content angles.
- Support event communications before, during, and after events.
- Curate and manage the social media/content calendar.
- Draft and adapt LinkedIn captions and other short-form content.
- Support Brand/Comms review by checking grammar, clarity, links, dates, names, titles, logos, and basic brand alignment.
- Create simple visual assets using approved templates and brand guidelines.
- Track basic content performance and visibility outputs.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in communications, PR, content writing, corporate communications, digital content, editorial work, or related roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Good command of English; Bahasa Malaysia is an added advantage.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and comfortable managing content trackers and timelines.
- Familiar with LinkedIn and basic digital content workflows.
- Experience with website content management systems is an advantage.
- Basic Canva/design skills are a strong plus.
- Interest in sustainability, ESG, corporate responsibility, business, or impact-related work is an advantage.
