We are seeking a passionate and skilled Barista to join our coffee team. As a Barista, you will be the face of our coffee counter, delivering high-quality beverages using our in-house blend. You should have a solid foundation in coffee knowledge, latte art, and be comfortable with espresso machine calibration. The role also includes preparing non-coffee beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare high-quality espresso-based beverages using our house blend.
• Perform daily calibration of the espresso machine and grinders to ensure consistency.
• Execute basic latte art (heart, tulip, rosetta).
• Follow brewing methods and SOPs to maintain coffee standards
• Prepare and serve non-coffee drinks (e.g., chocolate, tea, matcha, juices, soda mixes).
• Mix and serve coffee-based alcohol drinks (training provided where needed).
• Greet guests with warmth, recommend drinks based on preferences, and educate them on our house blend and offerings.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through excellent service, consistency, and attention to detail.
• Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and report to the supervisor when necessary.
• Set up and close the coffee station efficiently, following the opening/closing checklist.
• Maintain cleanliness of all barista equipment and bar counter.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock ordering and restocking.
• Record wastage and report any equipment issues promptly.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year working in a cafe setting; coffee specialty experience is a plus.
• Basic latte art skills
• Understanding of coffee extraction and machine calibration
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn about specialty coffee and beverage trends
• Certification: Basic Food Handling Certificate (preferred)
• Compulsory to have Typhoid prior start work

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,400.00 per month
