Job Summary:
The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing visually compelling in-store displays and layouts that reflect the brand identity and enhance the customer experience. This role plays a key part in driving foot traffic, promoting featured products, and supporting sales objectives through effective visual presentation. The position requires a strong eye for design, awareness of retail trends, and collaboration with marketing and store operations teams to ensure cohesive and engaging merchandising strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Execute Visual Concepts
- Plan, design, and implement seasonal window displays and in-store merchandising layouts that reflect Khatam’s festive and cultural brand identity.
Support Product Launches and Promotions
- Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to create impactful visual presentations that support product launches, festive collections, and promotional campaigns.
Maintain Brand Consistency
- Ensure all visual elements, from signage to mannequins and fixtures, align with the brand’s style, colour themes, and messaging across all retail locations.
Conduct Regular Store Visits
- Visit outlets regularly to assess visual standards, provide guidance to store teams, and ensure compliance with merchandising guidelines.
Monitor and Analyse Display Performance
- Evaluate the effectiveness of displays based on customer interaction and sales data; recommend improvements for future setups.
Manage Visual Merchandising Tools and Props
- Ensure all display items, including mannequins and promotional materials, are well-maintained and adequately stocked.
Train and Guide Retail Staff
- Provide training to in-store staff on visual merchandising standards, display maintenance, and the importance of presentation in enhancing customer experience.
Stay Updated on Fashion and Festive Trends
- Research current and upcoming fashion trends, especially related to festive and cultural attire, to ensure relevance and innovation in display concepts.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably in retail fashion industry.
- Background in visual merchandising, design, or a related field is preferred.
- Creative with a strong eye for detail and design to create appealing visual displays.
- Good communication skills to work with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors.
- Experience setting up displays or events in retail or mall environments is a plus.
- Good understanding of display techniques that reflect Khatam’s brand and seasonal collections.
- Able to create displays that tell a clear brand story and attract customer attention.
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Capable of executing store changes and product setups neatly and efficiently.
- Aware of customer preferences, fashion trends, and competitor activity.
- Willing to support store operations, promotions, and day-to-day visual tasks.
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
